Business Challenge:
> The client is one of the leading banks in GCC region with asset size of more than US $ 26.6 Billion. The bank wanted to review and automate credit workflow process for credit processing and managing the credit limits of the corporate borrowers.
The tool selected by the bank was Algorithmics Credit Administrator (ACA) and Algorithmics Credit Limit Manager (ACLM) provided by Algo for managing End-to-End Credit workflow and Risk Aggregation Solution. The bank required functional support to implement ACA/ACLM tool for improved credit work flow processing
Our Approach
The project involved (i) Preparing Business Requirement Specifications for the bank and all its subsidiaries (ii) Reviewing the complete credit workflow process of the bank (iii) Identifying the source systems for the data (iv) Preparing UAT test cases for validation. Outlined below is the approach followed by Aptivaa towards accomplishing the business objectives
- The first step was to understand the end-to-end credit workflow process. The step also involved analysis of the requirements of the bank and parameterization of the tool as per the requirements of the bank.
- Many data source systems were used (WINGS, BANKTRADE, and BANKWORKS etc). The data source and the data fields were identified. This was followed by mapping of data from source systems to ACA/ACLM fields.
- The changes during the phased implementation of the tool were communicated to the bank. Workshops were conducted to help the bank understand the process changes.
- Comprehensive user assurance test cases were prepared to identify any inconsistencies in the output of the tool based on the input.
Business Benefits
Automation of the credit workflow process led to an increased efficiency in end-to-end credit workflow and risk aggregation. Identification of the best data source enabled the bank to better manage their credit limit policies. Further validation of the calculation logic using UAT cases ensured robustness of the calculations. |
